The Restaurant

We love experimenting with old and new English recipes, bonding contemporary and historic ideas, to create a mouth-watering menu that is truly fit for a king!

Our award winning food celebrates locally sourced ingredients and champions fresh home grown food. Whenever possible our vegetables come from our very own Hunting Lodge allotment! Breakfasts and lunches are delicious and wonderfully fresh; we love serving our customers the highest quality produce. At King John’s Hunting Lodge we offer table service and are fully licensed, serving a limited but well selected range of alcoholic beverages.

The Tearoom

Our cream teas are enjoyed by locals and visitors from all over the world! We have a choice of 22 leaf teas, Italian filter coffee, and all manner of light refreshments. We welcome any dietary requirements, and do our best to accommodate everyone!

The Lodge is known for our King John’s Royal Tea: served on a stand layered with finger sandwiches of smoked salmon, cucumber, warm wrapped scones, dainty cakes, homemade jam, hedgerow jelly, organic Jersey cream (from a local farm) and a fine leaf tea of choice. It’s a real showstopper!

The Garden

Our garden is an area we are so proud of; it really is ‘ The Secret Garden’ of Lacock. Tucked away behind the Lodge, this beautiful walled garden offers sanctuary and peace to all. Tended lovingly over the years, you can sit amongst the flowers, close your eyes and drift away!
